Joystumble is StumbleUpon for web games. Press one button and you land in a random game somebody made, whether they vibe-coded it over a weekend or hand-wrote every line. Play it, vote it up or down, and stumble again.
Why it exists
AI tools like Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT turned small web games into something anyone can make in an evening. Thousands of them now exist, and most are seen by a handful of people. Game portals are built for polished hits, and social feeds move on in hours.
Joystumble is a place for the small, strange, one-idea games in between: a front door that keeps sending new players to them long after launch day.
Who runs it
Joystumble is built and run by David Berget, a developer who makes small browser games with AI tools himself. A few of them are on the site: Mycel Ward, Tidewatch, Curbside Hauling, Public Works, Tipstone, and Die Deeper.
How games get listed
- Free review. Anyone can submit a game. A person plays it before it goes live.
- $1 fast track. Creators can pay $1 to skip the queue. Paid games follow the same rules as free ones and can be taken down.
- Curated finds. We also add games that creators have shared publicly, like on r/WebGames or X, credited to them with a link back.
- Honest labels. Every game is marked vibe-coded, hand-made, or a mix, but only when the creator told us. If we don't know, we don't guess, and the game carries no label.
- The rules. A listing has to be a playable game that loads in the Joystumble player, and it has to be the submitter's own. No malware, scams, or adult content.
- Player reports. Games with several reports are hidden until a person reviews them.
Want your game removed or its details changed? Message us (see below) and we'll do it, no questions asked. If Joystumble hosts your file, we delete it too.
What we collect
- No account needed to play. A random ID in a cookie remembers your votes and which games you've seen.
- Anonymous activity stats. We count visits, stumbles, votes, and time spent on games so we can rank them, along with your country. Your IP address is stored only as a one-way hash, for spam limits.
- Accounts are optional. If you sign in, we store your email address to send sign-in codes and nothing else. We don't send newsletters.
- Creator emails. If you add an email when submitting a game, we use it only to contact you about that listing. It's never shown publicly.
- No ads, no trackers. Joystumble has no advertising or third-party tracking scripts. Games you play are made by other people and may have their own.
- Payments for fast-track listings are handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.
